Seattle is full of beautiful and romantic locations that are perfect for your proposal! No matter where you choose to propose, the moment will forever be special since it’s when you both chose to spend your lives together. But if you are looking for some ideas of a perfect place, check out our list below for inspiration and our tips for how to propose. And stop into the Seattle or Bellevue location for more ideas. We love to help plan proposals!

Alki, West Seattle

All of Alki is beautiful and has spectacular views. You can choose sunrise on the beach, an evening bonfire to the west, or a dock on the water to the east. Wherever you choose, you’ll be overlooking downtown, the Space Needle, sparkly Puget Sound. Or head up to Constellation Park for ocean tidepools a view of the islands.

If you’re looking for a quiet time without the crowds, plan the trip for the morning or the Autumn.

Golden Gardens

If you’re looking for a beach location in North Seattle, Golden Gardens also provides a beautiful beach, Puget Sound, and lots of private spots.

You can arrange to experience the tea ceremony at Shoseian Tea house in a traditional roji garden setting.

The Woodland garden features ponds and streams, and the Rhododendron Glen includes an impressive collection of rhododendrons and magnolias, and Azalea Way includes azaleas, flowering cherries, and dogwoods.

Kerry Park in Upper Queen Anne

It’s hard to find a better view than from Kerry Park. From Queen Anne, you can see downtown Seattle, the Space Needle, Mount Rainier, and Puget Sound!

If you’re looking for a more expansive park, Seattle has so many to choose from! What about Gas Works or Discovery?

Pike Place Market

Looking for a vibrant location in the heart of the city? Pike Place Market, especially in the off-season, might be perfect. Find a deck overlooking the water or arrange strategic fish throwing! Early Spring is a great time since the flowers are everywhere and everything is quieter.

You could also make a reservation at the Pink Door in the heart of Pike Place Market with a view of the water and the ferris wheel. The Pink Door specializes in Italian-American cuisine using local ingredients (most from nearby Bainbridge Island!).

Or instead of looking at the ferris wheel, book a private gondola on the great wheel!

Space Needle

It doesn’t get much more iconic than the Space Needle. Bring her up to the observation deck for fantastic 360 degree views of Seattle, Puget Sound, and the mountains. Or arrange a special night at the dazzling Loupe Lounge 500 feet in the air with the world’s only revolving glass floor.

North Cascades

Consider a day drive out to the North Cascades to stunning Diablo Lake. If you and your partner enjoy hiking, the North Cascades National Park is one of the most beautiful spots in the United States and is off the beaten path enough to be quiet and peaceful even during the peak of summer.

Mount Rainier

Another beautiful hiking spot is Mount Rainier, just a few hours south of Seattle. Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous United States and is the beginning of five major rivers. It features old growth forests and meadows filled with wildflowers. Since Mount Rainier can be seen from Seattle on clear days, you’ll be reminded of the wonderful day of your proposal every time you see it!

Snoqualmie Falls

Surprise her with a romantic proposal at the falls, followed by a couples fireside massage at the Salish Lodge!

Or make it a weekend retreat with a stay at one of their dreamy rooms.

Drive or hike through the mountains or rainforest, or walk along the beach at sunset or through lavender fields.

Take Her to Sea!

Love the water? Seattle has so many options for a fun and romantic experience on the surrounding lakes or Puget Sound. How about an oysters and sailing excursion? Or plan your own custom sunset cruise! Luxuriate in a hot tub boat! Or kayak around the Sound at sunset and find your own private spot on the water.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

If you’re planning to propose in the summer, how about a private hot air balloon ride with champagne and chocolates? In the Spring and Fall, you could reserve a hot air ballon ride in the heart of Washington wine country in Walla Walla.
