5 Ways To Surprise Your Bride On The Honeymoon

It’s easy for honeymoon planning to get lost in the hustle and bustle of wedding planning. With all the time spent planning the big party, it can often be tough for newlyweds-to-be to find time to sit down and map out a trip. This creates the perfect opportunity for you to take charge (or at least plan a few fun surprises). Check out these five ways that you can grab honeymoon planning by the horns and leave her speechless.

5 Ways To Surprise Your Bride On The Honeymoon
Plan the Whole Darn Thing. Have a fiancé that’s willing to go completely hands-off? Tell her you’ve got the honeymoon covered! You probably have a good idea of the climate or destinations she’s interested in. Book the airfare, reservations, excursions and just let her know what she needs to pack.

Upgrade! Upgrade! Upgrade! Have a few extra bucks leftover in the wedding budget? Call ahead to make sure you’re getting all the honeymoon options that are available. Add-ons like champagne, spa service or a room upgrade will go a long way towards a stunning first impression.

Gear Up, Honeymoon Style. Don’t pass up the opportunity to surprise her with a gift that can be put to immediate use on the honeymoon. A new camera will help capture once-in-a-lifetime memories. New hiking gear ensures you’ll look like pros on the trails. And, of course, lingerie requires no further explanation.

Plan a Surprise Activity You Know She’ll Love. You only live once. Your honeymoon is the perfect opportunity to knock something off the ‘ol bucket list! Has she talked about wanting to sky dive, swim with the dolphins or climb a mountain? Pick one and run with it. It’ll make for a memory that will last a lifetime.

Plan a Mini-Moon. It’s OK if you don’t have the budget to go on a full-scale honeymoon right after the wedding. A quick staycation or getaway to drivable locale are both awesome alternatives that allow you to celebrate with the idea of doing a larger trip for your one year anniversary. To surprise her, keep the destination a secret until you depart.

Bonus
Gift Her With Something Sparkly. Sometimes I surprise my wife with a new piece of jewelry while we’re on vacation. For one, she’ll want to put it on right away. And secondly, should you two visit that place again, the new bling will trigger fond memories each time.
