How did you two meet?
We met in New Orleans, Louisiana. We were both there for the weekend and met in Tropical Isle on Bourbon, St.
How did you propose?
Ryann and I had been talking a while about getting married, and were both set on having a wedding in New Orleans, where we met. One place we were possibly thinking about getting married was called the Pharmacy Museum, because we both wanted to get married at a place that had a courtyard and was located in the french quarter. Even though we hadn’t even looked at the place yet, I thought it would be a good idea to do a surprise proposal there because I knew we would both love it!
Her Mom convinced her and some friends to take a trip to New Orleans to go shopping and celebrate her birthday (since she was coming to Houston to visit me for her birthday on January 25th). Since they were going to New Orleans, they decided they would check out some potential wedding venues for the future. Little did she know, the whole trip was a set up to go visit the Pharmacy Museum, and I would be there to propose to her! I drove to New Orleans with my Dad and some friends to go set up everything at the Pharmacy Museum, before they went and checked it out. I also had some of her other close friends meet us there (now future bridesmaids) to make the surprise and celebration afterwards in New Orleans even better! Also, her friend Kaelan was there to take our pictures during and after the proposals, as well as several people recording the whole thing! Watch the Video.
Describe your ring shopping experience at Robbins Brothers Houston Loop?
It was perfect! I got in contact with Jeremy Ronquillo about a ring I was interested in, and he immediately got back to me that he would place it aside for when I came in to look at the ring. I went in that Friday, at my convenience, and was helped right away. I got to see the ring I was interested in and fell in love right away, it was so unique and different, just like every ring at Robbins Brothers. They also offered to have the ring sized and back to me within days, and everything worked out perfectly. I’m so glad I visited the Houston store, they made the whole experience even more exciting than it already was, and helped me with anything I needed.
What does Ryann love most about her engagement ring?
That I picked it out all by myself, and that she can stack it perfectly with rings in the future, her wedding band and for our future children.
