Last night, I had the honor to be part of the Glendale store’s Girls Night Out event, at which ladies could check out some gorgeous jewels while getting mini-manicures and massages and sipping on pink bubbly. Not a bad way to spend your Thursday evening, if you ask me.
I manned my post at my book-signing station, where I was accompanied by my fiancé, Greg, our toy Aussie puppy, Peyton, my friend Danielle, and my parents. So many awesome women (and couples!) came over to chat about my book, 101 Quizzes for Couples. I had a blast telling them about the quizzes and explaining my vision for the book–to create a fun way for couples to get back to the exciting, dynamic conversations they had in the early days of their relationships.
Later in the night, I got to check out the other booths and discovered the most delicious cupcakes and cookies by Cake Moments. I even got to sample my very first “pink velvet” cupcake. My fiancé loves red velvet (he pretty much hates all other desserts, so this is a big deal) and we decided that we might actually do a pink velvet cake for our July wedding. So, you just never know what you might learn or discover at these events, do you?!
All in all, the night was a success on so many levels: I got to sign some books, talk to some amazing people, and eat some delicious treats. Plus, it seemed like everyone who came out had a wonderful time—despite the fact that it was raining in L.A.
If you weren’t able to make it last night, we sure missed you! Be sure to clear your calendar for the next one. So. Much. Fun!
