For Beyonce’s Next Ring, Perhaps? 507-Carat Diamond Sells for $35.3 Million

PinterestFacebook

The Los Angeles Times reported on Saturday that a 507-carat rough diamond sold in London for $35.3 million, making it the highest price ever paid for a rough diamond. The rough diamond is the size of a chicken egg and weighed a whopping 3.53 ounces. Beyonce will appreciate the quality: the article stated it was one of the top 20 rough diamonds in the world.

Hong Kong-based jewelry retailer Chow Tai Food Jewelry Co. Ltd. purchased the diamond that was discovered in South Africa last September.
