Engagement Ring Settings vs. Complete Engagement Rings

Many of our engagement rings are available as settings, which enable you to choose the center stone separately from the ring. We also have a selection of complete (or preset) engagement rings available, which are rings for which we have carefully chosen a center stone to complement the ring setting.

Both are great options. If you would like to customize the ring and select the specific stone, then your best option is to choose a setting and then a center diamond for it. This option also provides more flexible pricing (you can determine what criteria are most important to you in the diamond selection based on your budget) but lead times can be longer.

If you’d like to bring the ring home with you the same day or would like the ease of a preselected center diamond, consider a complete engagement ring.

A full variety of setting styles and diamond shapes are available for both options, so you don’t have to compromise with either. With either option, you can choose a setting style (such as solitaire, halo, or three stone), and a diamond shape (such as oval or pear). You might also opt for additional detail such as a pavé band or milgrain accent.

Complete Halo Engagement Rings

Below are examples of complete engagement rings with halo settings and side stones. Halo settings work well with all diamond shapes.
