Cupid’s Tips For Single Girls On Valentine’s Day

Relax. I know that Valentine’s Day is rearing its ugly head around the corner, but fret not, single ladies. The day will come and go just like any other day. I’ve compiled some fun activities that will have you wondering where the day went. Remember, the day comes once every year, so don’t take it to heart that you’re not in a committed relationship at the moment. I remember one year, I was single and I offered to work the night of Valentine’s Day so my colleagues could go out on their romantic dates that night. Be happy for those that have a special person in their life and move on. No one likes a bitter friend. The day will come and go and I promise you’ll still be alive on February 15th. You’ll be okay.

    • Give yourself a confidence booster! Nothing makes you feel as beautiful as looking your best! Wear your favorite dress! Take the extra ten minutes that you always skip and give yourself a fab hair-do. Put a spritz of perfume and paired with your highest heels, you’ll feel your confidence go up to 11.  Look at you, you sexy prowess, you.
    • Go on a camping trip with your friends. There’s no better way to bond than roughing it for a little while like going on a camping trip with your besties. No civilization, no technological communication, no emails to write, no texts to disturb you, no Siri to tell you the weather, no ex-boyfriends’ Facebook profiles to stalk, no farms to tend to, no Words With Friends games to win.. wow you never realize how much there is until you actually hear it, huh? You can really bond with your closest friends over toasty marshmallows under the twinkling stars.
    • Have a little fun with your own sexy little secret. Bust out your favorite sexy matching bra and panty set and wear it under your outfit on Valentine’s Day. It’ll be a sexy secret that only you are in on. If you’re feeling a little extra daring, you can even show off your kickers to some unsuspecting bystanders. Kidding.. I know you feel sexy, but please don’t flash anyone.
    • Go on a date with your BFF! Treat her to that French restaurant you’ve always wanted to try out. Want to go catch a chick flick? No problem. I don’t hear any men complaining. Do you? Grab a coffee to-go and go on a mani-pedi date with your best friend and just feel that romance-stress melt away. Nothing says “Be My Valentine” like a little sisterly love (and a sparkly new manicure)!
    • Get creative. Sometimes you’ve got to get the brain juices flowing and having an outlet can sometimes help you come to terms with yourself, your past, your relationship and clear your mind for the future… whatever it may be! Start a fun DIY art project. Learn to play a new instrument. Get funky with paint and an empty canvas. Freewrite. Write that top-secret book idea you’ve been putting off. Okay, you can’t write a book in a day but you’ve gotta start at some point, don’t you? Time to jump start that New Year’s Resolution!
    • Ever wanted to go sky diving? Ride in a hot air balloon? Swim with a beluga whale? Go zip lining through a forest? Shoot a gun? No, we’re not saying kill someone. At a shooting range, crazy. This is your day to do it! Cross that awesome feat off your bucket list. Valentine’s Day? Forget about it. This day will always be known as the day you took a pole-dancing class. For reals.
