Cozy And Romantic Date Ideas

Just because the weather is turning cooler doesn’t mean that your relationship has to follow suit. Even though the days are getting shorter, there’s more than enough time to find romance during the late fall and winter months. In fact, right now may just be the most romantic time of the year—think cozy blankets, cloudy skies, warm drinks and fireplaces. Grab your main squeeze—and a comfy sweater—to kindle that love-struck magic with one (or all!) of these seasonal date ideas.

Find the Fire
The next time you feel like grabbing dinner, coffee or wine at a local spot, look for one that has a fireplace (or outdoor fire pit). Having a roaring fire just makes the ambiance cozier and, if you don’t happen to have a fireplace at home, you’ll really enjoy the novelty of cuddling up in front of each other while you’re out.

See the Lights
In many neighborhoods, there’s one amazing street where people really go all out for the holidays. Grab some hot chocolate and take a scenic drive to see the Christmas lights, cozying up together as you cruise. Some cities even offer trolley or bus rides through the festive parts of town, making for an even more fun nighttime event. After, grab dinner or drinks at your favorite local spot—or find a karaoke bar where you can belt out holiday music together.

Go Apple Picking
If you dig the outdoors (and fresh fruit!), head to a local orchard and pick apples together. You’ll learn a lot about the way this favorite fall fruit is grown and walking through the trees will provide a romantic experience. Later, you can do something yummy with the apples you pick, from making homemade applesauce to a delicious pie.

Catch a Flick
Watching a movie on a fall evening is an ideal way to relax and snuggle up. If you want to venture beyond your couch, check out one of those fancier theaters that serve food and provide cozy blankets to really make things romantic. Staying home? Order in your favorite takeout, pop popcorn and choose a feel-good movie that will leave you both smiling.

Sweat Together
Colder weather can make even the most devoted gym rat want to hit the snooze button. But exercising is great for your mind (and body) so you don’t want to get too unmotivated this season. Make working out a couples’ affair by catching a hot yoga class (it will keep you toasty!) or going for a sunset hike (you’ll get some Instagram-worthy pics too!).
