Trends come and go but for bridal jewelry, specifically engagement rings, designs are like fine wine as they evolve and get better over time. Whether you prefer a classic, more traditional look, or want to stun the crowd with modern, cutting edge ring bling, there is definitely the perfect ring for your taste and preference.

If an engagement is in your future this year, be sure to check out these top six trends and stop by a store near you to try them on up close and personal. This year, we vow to help make your dream ring become a beautiful reality.

Fancy Shapes with a Twist
We’ve seen an increasing interest amongst customers and social media fans alike in fancy-shaped engagement rings, especially the Oval cut. Oval has gained popularity due to its unique, clean look. The modern pear-shape and elegant emerald are also fan favorites. Even more exciting is an innovative twist on the east-west ring setting. Designer A.Jaffe’s Pirouette collection, for example, lets brides choose the direction of their fancy diamond shape in case one prefers the north-south setting sometimes. Who doesn’t love choices?

Rose Gold + Two-Tone Designs
In 2018 all the rage will continue to be about rose gold! The metal with a warm, pink hue exudes romance and femininity, and looks good on just about every skin tone. You will even see more brides and grooms mixing rose and white gold together for the perfect combination.

Color Gemstones or Accents
Go bright or go home! From sapphires to spinel to morganite, many brides are picking out engagement rings with a show-stopping color gemstone. Not sure about color for your center stone? No problem, you can always opt for nice color accents in your band.

The Halo, Redefined
Brides can look forward to great enhancements of the oh-so-popular diamond halo engagement ring. Designers such as Tacori, Verragio, and Karl Lagerfeld to name a few are taking the Halo to the next level with unique, decorative, floral-inspired features. Watch the video.

Petite Engagement Rings
Not a huge fan of the big and bold diamond Halo look? Go Petite! Some mistakenly think that “petite” means a small ring, with a small diamond. However, petite usually refers to the width of the band. When it’s thinner, it tends to make the center diamond appear larger. This is the perfect option for women with small hands who prefer a more delicate look to their ring. Petite styles also give women the opportunity to stack additional bands on both sides of the engagement ring (be sure to check out creative ways to stack your bands).

Three-Stone Rings
Thanks to the most talked about engagement of 2017 between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, three-gem stunners are back on the wish list of many future brides! After all, it’s such a stylish way to symbolize your yesterday, today and forever as couple.
