Engagement Ring Trends at Evening of Design

Just in time for engagement season (November – February), the most popular time of year when 40% of couples get engaged due to festive family-filled holidays, Robbins Brothers hosted an Evening of Design with prominent bridal jewelry creators to give VIP guests a first look at new and impressive engagement ring styles.

The sparkly night was not in vain either. Our primary goal was to benefit the nonprofit organization Wish Upon A Wedding. This admirable charity grants weddings and vow renewals to couples facing serious illness or life-altering circumstances. By bringing together event industry professionals, Wish Upon A Wedding is able to help deserving and grateful couples celebrate their love.

During the events at Robbins Brothers Houston and Costa Mesa stores, the company extended its Selfie For A Wish campaign by donating $50 per attendee’s social media post to the organization. Single and married guests alike, primarily Influencers and editors, were thrilled to flash their ring finger for a worthy cause.

Feast your eyes as we share featured designers’ top engagement ring styles for Engagement Season 2018. Expect to see some of these trending beauties light up your social media feed in heartwarming proposal photos and videos over the holidays.

The Halo Ring, Evolved

From the new ‘hidden halo’ style perfected by designer Michael M, to cutting edge geometric rings by KARL LAGERFELD, it’s safe to say the halo trend isn’t going away anytime soon, and we’re glad about it. With floral, hidden and geometric halo rings to name a few, paired with the most exquisite fancy shape diamonds including pear and oval, the options are endless for today’s bride.

Color Gemstones
A popular way to add pizzazz to your engagement and wedding ring is to use vibrant pops of color in the form of sapphire, emerald, ruby and more. Color gemstones are versatile and can be used as the main stone or as flanking accents on a band. Coast Diamond is known for beautiful gemstone rings.

Bold and Beautiful  – thick bands + stunning center stones + stackables
For the bride who prefers a bit more “umph” when it comes to her engagement ring, Henri Daussi settings feature elegant styles with a romantic center stone that faces up larger than traditional diamonds. To complement the show-stopping engagement ring, we expect to see an increased interest in unique stackable bands as well.

Delicate and Dainty
Sophistication is key for many brides who covet a dainty style with intricate details. Kirk Kara, a brand that features two sisters as the leading designers, has stepped into a modern approach with contoured bands, milgrain and beautiful hand engraving.

Here Comes The Bride!
In addition to the bride’s stunning engagement and wedding ring, she’ll want to shine on her big day with other glamorous jewels. Tacori featured some of the most elegant wedding day jewelry you’ll ever see at Evening of Design.
