Last month, we helped you discover the ideal way to honor all of the special moms in your life, so now we have to pay some attention to the dads. Father’s Day is less than two weeks away, and if you’re coming up short on ideas, we’ve got some good ones to get your brainstorm started.
The most important thing? The thought (and love!) behind whatever it is you do or give to the father in your life, of course!
Get Cooking
Give Dad a break from the BBQ and whip him up a nice meal. (The way to any man’s heart is through his stomach, after all.) Or if he insists on grilling, as men do, get all the sides ready and be sure to clean up after. (No dirty dish duty for him on Father’s Day.)
Go Outside
Whether he’d prefer to participate in Tough Mudder, an obstacle course race, a Zombie Run, or your typical 5K, Dad will love the challenge of accomplishing a major athletic goal. So, lace up the tennis shoes and get out there!
Drink Up
Find a local brewery or vineyard, and then spend an afternoon tasting the offerings. Most places offer guided tours led by seasoned guides who will teach you a thing or to about the process, giving you a deeper appreciation for what goes into making beer or wine.
Be Classy
Give him a fun experience he’ll never forget tailored to his interests. Every city offers ways to learn cool new skills, from mixology to beer making, watercolor painting to racecar driving. Choose something you can both do together and make lasting memories in the process.
Gift Give
If your pops is missing a key piece of male jewelry—like a nice watch or a pair of cufflinks—why not help him out by gifting him with something he’ll wear (and cherish!) forever? Engrave his initials for extra personalization.
