A Celebration of Fine Jewelry in Pasadena, CA

PinterestFacebook

Your neighborhood jeweler is open in Pasadena. If you are looking for a trusted source for diamonds, gold, and everything sparkly, look no farther. Whether you want that perfect engagement ring, a wedding or anniversary band, a gift of earrings, bracelets, or necklaces, or a watch, stop in to talk with our experienced jewelers and browse our curated selection in an unparalleled setting.

Visit Our Pasadena Showroom

Our Pasadena Flagship

Our showroom sits in a majestic space built in 1928, a historic landmark in Pasadena’s Playhouse District at 587 E. Colorado Boulevard. The entrance features a soaring 30-foot coffered ceiling with exquisite chandeliers, and wall murals painted by Impressionist artist Alson S. Clark. The building spent its first life as a bank, and the vault survives in the basement, now an intimate event space rather than a strongroom.

It is also a homecoming. We opened our very first California store in Pasadena in the 1950s, so more than a century of expertise has come back to the street where our California story started.

What You’ll Find Inside

Behind the architecture is a working showroom: state-of-the-art diamond viewing rooms for comparing stones under controlled light, individual designer boutiques, a master jeweler on site, and a hospitality lounge with a baby grand piano. We host local vendors and community partners in the space too, which is part of what being a neighborhood jeweler means to us.

The counters run from lab-grown and natural stones through bespoke designer jewelry and luxury watches, and the studio takes in heirloom restoration. The point of the range is longevity: we would rather be the jeweler you return to for the next milestone than the one you visited once.

How a Visit Actually Works

01

START AT THE BOUTIQUES

The designer boutiques are the fastest way to narrow a direction, because each house has a recognizable hand. Trying a Tacori beside a Verragio beside an A.JAFFE tells you more in ten minutes than an evening of scrolling will.

02

THEN CHOOSE THE STONE

Once a setting is chosen, the diamond viewing rooms let you compare stones side by side under controlled lighting. Seeing two diamonds together is the only reliable way to judge one, and a case under shop lights is not that.

03

THE STUDIO HANDLES THE REST

Setting the stone, sizing, engraving, restoring an heirloom, or building something that does not exist yet all happen on site with our master jeweler, rather than being shipped away and waited on.

Inside the Designer Boutiques

Three of the houses with a home in the Pasadena boutiques are Tacori, Verragio, and A.JAFFE. All three of the rings below are settings, sold without a center stone, which is exactly why they pair with the diamond viewing rooms: you choose the design first, then choose the diamond that goes in it. Each is built for a different center shape, so they are a fair illustration of how far apart three white gold settings can sit.

What People Are Saying

The building has drawn as much attention as the jewelry inside it.

“The new showroom, formerly a historic bank, features a grand entrance, soaring ceilings, and original murals by renowned artist Alson S. Clark. This architectural gem has been thoughtfully reimagined to offer a luxurious yet welcoming experience, preserving its storied past while embracing modern elegance.” ColoradoBoulevard.net

“More than a fine jewelry showroom, the space itself is a sight to behold for museumgoers and architecture aficionados.” Lapalme Magazine

“The showroom includes diamond viewing rooms, designer boutiques, a master jeweler for in-house repairs, customization, and cleaning, as well as a VIP hospitality lounge.” National Jeweler

“Pasadena shimmered a little brighter this season as Robbins Brothers unveiled their new iconic flagship showroom at 587 Colorado Blvd, transforming the city’s historic corridor into a fairytale scene of winter sparkle.” LA Living Magazine

The Robbins Brothers Difference

A landmark building is a nice place to start, but what you actually come for is the guidance. We have helped couples through this decision for more than 100 years, and our approach in Pasadena is the same as in every one of our showrooms: we guide rather than pressure, and every guest gets our full attention whether they are buying a first ring or marking fifty years together.

Only 1 in 10 diamonds meets our standards, so every stone in the viewing rooms has already been hand-selected. We carry both lab-grown and natural diamonds and will explain the trade-offs without steering you toward either. Our master jeweler works on site, and every purchase is backed by our best-in-class lifetime warranty covering cleaning, inspection, and repairs at any of our showrooms across California, Arizona, Texas, and Washington.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Robbins Brothers Pasadena showroom located?

You’ll find us at 587 E. Colorado Boulevard, in the Playhouse District. Look for the 1928 landmark on the corner; the building was a bank long before it was a jewelry showroom, and the entrance gives it away. Plan your visit at robbinsbrothers.com/pasadena.

What can I shop for at the Pasadena flagship?

Our Pasadena showroom carries engagement rings, wedding and anniversary bands, fine jewelry, and luxury watches, plus loose diamonds in both types and bespoke designer pieces. Our experienced jewelers are happy to walk you through the full collection during your visit, and there is no expectation that you buy on the day.

Do I need an appointment to visit the Pasadena store?

Walk-ins are always welcome, but we recommend booking a personalized consultation so you have dedicated time with one of our jewelry experts. If you want a diamond viewing room specifically, booking ahead is the way to be sure one is free. You can reserve a spot at robbinsbrothers.com/appointment.

Are there private diamond viewing rooms in Pasadena?

Yes. Our Pasadena flagship features state-of-the-art VIP diamond viewing rooms where you can examine hand-selected diamonds under ideal lighting. Only 1 in 10 diamonds meets our standards, and our consultants will help you compare stones side by side.

Which designers are carried in the Pasadena boutiques?

The showroom houses dedicated designer boutiques, including Tacori and Verragio, alongside A.JAFFE and our wider roster of designer partners. Browse our designer collections, and ask a consultant to pull pieces from more than one house so you can compare them in the same light.

Can the Pasadena showroom help with custom design and repairs?

Absolutely. We have a master jeweler on site for in-house customization, heirloom restoration, repairs, and cleaning. Whether you’re designing something new or reimagining a family heirloom, our master jeweler can build it with you, and the work stays in the building rather than being sent out.

Does Pasadena offer both lab-grown and natural diamonds?

Yes, we offer both. Our jewelry consultants can help you understand the differences and choose the diamond type that aligns with your values and your budget, with no pressure either way.

Can I hold an event at the Pasadena showroom?

The basement vault is used for gatherings rather than storage now, and the showroom floor has hosted pop-ups and community partners. What is possible depends on the date and the size of the group, so ask a consultant and we will point you to the right person.
