No to Marriage Proposal

1. Today I need to say no, because I am not ready. Tomorrow might be different.

2. When I get married it will be to you. I just need some time to get ready for that possibility.

3. At the right time my answer will be yes. I’m afraid this isn’t the right time.

4. Marriage is a big step. We don’t need a piece of paper to prove our love.

5. Forever is a very long time. Let’s take things day by day (blank stare).

How exactly would you let someone down “easy” and reject their proposal?

If it’s a ring from Robbins Brothers, you simply say, “I’ll consider your proposal, but while I do that I’ll just take this ring for safe keeping!”
