My at home proposal would include setting up our tent in the living room with string lights hanging overhead. I’d light candles to remind us of comforting scents while we munch on popcorn and watch our favorite flicks. Our pup would join us to surprise us with a surprise ring to propose after a cozy evening together.
So nice and love including your pup! Thank you for the submission.
A funny home proposal idea in this quarantine would be to tell your significant other that you need to go to the store for “essentials”. Get toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and Clorox wipes! When you get home put the items on the counter with the ring box in the middle! As they notice what is in the middle of the items… PROPOSE with the line- “You are essential in my life and I want to be with you forever, will you marry me?”
Ahhhh! Love that “essential” tie-in. Thanks for sharing, Austin!
A virtual proposal would be made possible with a Robbins Brothers placeholder engagement ring. My girlfriend and future fiance is currently in another state and we will not be able to see each other for a few months. The world of zoom and the postal service will provide for a unique engagement. I plan to put the ring inside of a box, inside of a box, inside of a box. I will layer 5+ boxes and wrap each box. Inside each layer of wrapping special items and moments between the two of us such as special photos, cards, and more would be shared. Prior to opening the last box, I would have instructions to join a zoom call in which I would be on one knee and prompt the proposal as the last box is opened. When I am able to next see my future fiance in person I will be able to present the real ring, but the placeholder ring would be great as I will be trusting UPS to facilitate an engagement.
So cool! Thank you for sharing your idea.
I had originally planned on proposing in March on a trip to Scotland that was cancelled. With that out a new idea is this. Our 2 year is coming up end of April. So I’ll recreate places & countries that have special meanings for us. The front porch will be the coffee shop we had our first date at, the dining room the restaurant we started at the night of our first kiss. The breakfast bar will be our favorite pub in Switzerland. I’m getting lots of plants & fake tree’s to make a ‘trail’ to a ‘water fall’ for where we first hiked. One corner of the yard will have different “mountains” we’ve skied, another corner will have the ones we’ve hiked. Another corner, a kids lemonade stand transformed into a European Christmas market. The middle of our yard has a huge tree in which I’ll hang lights & pictures of all our adventures from. She loves her hammock so I’ll have that up & the fire pit ready to go. Place some cows around the yard to represent the highlands of Scotland. We planned on a picnic at the fairy pools on Isle of Skye. So putting up a little wading pool with stones in it. She’s obsessed with finding pretty stones. So the stones will have the words “Will you Marry Me” on them. I’ll be behind her with our dog (can’t leave her out of course) who is getting a bandanna that’ll say “can we keep him?”
Oh wow, you are one romantic and creative guy! Thank you Justin.
My proposal will be asking my husband of 32years to remarry me April of 2020. We did not have a wedding and this would just top off our bond.
Wonderful sentiment! Thank you.
Home proposal.
I’d unroll the toilet paper and place the ring inside and mark the tissues before it with “Will you marry me?” I’ll wait in the living room watching TV until I hear a bunch of screaming.
Ha! Now that’s pretty darn creative. Thanks Rob.
My at-home proposal would begin with flying my girlfriend out to California from Arizona to where she lives with her family. Because we cannot go anywhere, I would have her best friend take her on a drive down the coast to get her out of the house for me to set up. While she is gone, I would order sand and put it in the backyard because our favorite place is the beach. Unfortunately, we cannot go to the beaches right now. Once she walks in the backyard at sunset, we would go for a “stroll on the beach”, and then I would propose right there! We would then go inside to the cheers of our families on a zoom meeting with balloons and cake, and have a virtual celebration with those dearest to us.
This is amazing! Oh how we love the beach. Thank you for sharing!
My at home proposal would be, a fun little homemade scavenger hunt, throughout the house and yard. With a journey through our love map, each find would be a special memory that we both love! Next I would call local police department and ask them for a police escort for the dramatic ending! A parade of all our loved ones driving their cars slowly down the street with balloons attached to their cars and confetti out the windows as they pass our front yard, with posters reading. WILL YOU MARRY ME? With each passing car. For her to then turn around and see him on one knee. So all the families could still be apart of the special moment <3
Love it! Thank you! xo
How about a bed time story she will never forget! A handcrafted miniature book filled with cute doodles and writing that highlights significant accomplishments and memories as a couple over the years. The story begins with special memories, reminds the reader of how much the author loves them, and then approaches a special ending. The author approaches the end of the story by saying “I don’t want to go another day without asking you … to be continued”. The reader closes the book and the author pops the question with ring in hand . It’s a literal love story.
Niiiiccceeee! Thank you for sharing!
My home proposal would be decorating the inside of the living room full of white and gold balloons on the floor. ( ordered by Amazon for home delivery) with since we can’t leave to go shopping for decorations. I would place our white Christmas lights along with the he balloons on the floor to guide a path way. We have two boys below toddler age I would have them with written signs asking WILL YOU- MARRY US and I’ll have the ? Sign. My girlfriend is the one that does all the shopping for the family so we would set up when she is at the store. That would be my home proposal
Super creative! Thank you for sharing xo
