Coromance Dinner At Home

Bring the Restaurant to You.

Love isn’t cancelled. In fact, it’s stronger than ever. That’s why we’re busy dreaming up creative ideas for #coromance at home, starting with dinner! Don’t call off date night just because you’re stuck inside. Keep it classy by transforming your space into a romantic #QuarantineCafe – and bring the restaurant home to you.

Follow these 5 easy steps for fine-dining perfection:

Step 1: Design Your Menu
Choose your cuisine and a vibe to match. Think of your favorite restaurants, chefs, dishes, and date nights and how you can recreate the experience at home. Are you pasta lovers, meat and potatoes, or French-food obsessed? Seafood fanatics, pub food fans, or entirely plant-based? Whatever you love, think big or small based on your tastes, cooking skills, and what you have on hand during these challenging #quarantimes.

The only rule is to have fun and create something magical—that’s also within reach. Scroll to the bottom for links to a few of our pantry-driven faves!

Step 2: Plan the Evening
Set a date and time. Create a hand-written invite with instructions for what to wear and when to “show up.” Name your dishes, write mouth-watering descriptions, and lay them out in a menu that you print and present when your person “arrives.”

Step 3: Transform Your Space
Create your dream restaurant at home. Dim the lights, make a playlist, dust off those candles (unscented go best with food), set the table—and the scene. Create a look unique enough to turn your everyday space into something extraordinary.

Step 4: Rock Your Party Clothes
Staying at home doesn’t mean you can’t get dressed up for a night out. Use this time as an excuse to rock your best look. Pull out all the stops, including that hairbrush, blow dryer, gel, and deodorant you haven’t seen in weeks. From a jacket and dress pants to that utterly neglected little black dress – make this a night to remember by looking the part.

Step 5: Have Fun
Open some wine, add some music to your prep, be creative, and have fun. Since you have no other choice but to be stuck home right now, you might as well enjoy the ride—and each other.

Cheers and Bon Appetit!
