For the second consecutive year, Robbins Brothers, World’s Biggest Engagement Ring Store® teams up with the Taste of the NFL: The Ultimate Dallas Cowboys Tailgate Party to benefit children’s programs including Kid’s Cafes and Food 4 Kids at the North Texas Food Bank.
The fundraising event hosted by Cowboy linebacker DeMarcus Ware and defensive end Marcus Spears took place on Sunday, April 13 at Gilley’s in downtown Dallas, and attracted nearly 1000 guests. For the onstage raffle drawing, Robbins Brothers donated an 18 Karat White Gold Ladies Band with round, princess and baguette diamonds valued at $3,995. The winner Scott Tyra from Flower Mound, Texas was excited and relieved about winning the prize. “This is fantastic! My 19th wedding anniversary is this Thursday and I haven’t bought a gift yet,” Tyra admits. The hosts invited Tyra’s wife to center stage; and Tyra then dropped to bended knee and asked her if the ring was acceptable as an anniversary gift. She shouted, “Yes, yes, yes!” and the couple hugged and kissed while the audience cheered them on.
“This is such an awesome community event that we look forward to,” says Letty Smith, customer service manager of the Dallas store. “We are happy to know our contribution can help enhance the lives of children less fortunate. At the end of the day, lending a helping hand is what matters most,” adds Kelly Roddy, general manager of the Robbins Brothers Arlington store.
