The “Girlfriend” singer met and started developing romantic feelings for Chad Kroeger when the two started working closely, collaborating on new tunes. Since then, the couple has kept their relationship a secret. This engagement news has hit their fans as a complete shock!

The engagement ring has a pear shaped center stone (so chic!!!) and is flanked by two half moon diamonds. The ring is reported to weigh around 14-carats total! Rumor has it that it runs about $350,000. That’s quite a chunk of change.
Avril Lavigne’s romantic life has come a long way! She was married to Sum41 singer, Deryck Whibley from 2006-2010. After that, she was romantically linked to Brody Jenner (yes, the step-brother of Kim Kardashian), of “The Hills” (ugh, one of my guilty pleasures!) from 2010-2012 until their sudden break up. How does Avril know that Chad is “the one”? “He makes me laugh every day. He takes care of me in every way and is extremely attentive,” she gushes. Chad sure knows how to take care of a lady.
