Yay! You’re engaged or someone you know is, right? Now, it’s time to celebrate of course!

There are so many ways to mark this occasion and, more than likely, you may even celebrate more than once. Here are some fun ideas for reveling in this time in your life with each other and those you love.

Engaged

With Each Other: Celebrate just the two of you by trying a fancy restaurant you’ve always wanted to eat at in town or by getting out of town all together by taking a weekend trip. It’s important to treat yourselves and really take time to honor this important moment in your relationship. After all, wedding planning will start before you know it and you may not have the opportunity to treat yourselves for awhile.
Engagement Dinner

With Friends: Allow your friends to share in the fun by planning a night at your favorite bar, pool hall, ice cream shop or burger joint—wherever you and your pals like to go to have a good time. They’ll want to congratulate you two in person—plus you may want to share the news with these special people before posting that you’re engaged on social media.

With Family: Getting engaged is a great excuse to have your respective families spend time together, especially if your parents and siblings have never met one another. If distance isn’t an issue, host a dinner at your home for your immediate families or go out to brunch all together. That way, your family can celebrate your upcoming union and the fact that they will soon be uniting, too.
Engagement Celebration

With Your Online Social Circle: After your VIPs have heard the news, it’s time to tell the world—or, at least, your Facebook friends. You might post a creative engagement announcement on your pages—check Pinterest for some fun ideas—to mark the occasion virtually, as well as show off that rock!
