Five Ways Kim Kardashian Could Make the World a Better Place with Proceeds from Her Diamond Engagement Ring
Now that the dust is settling and Kim Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner are making the talk show ’rounds to give their side of the story, I think Kim’s crisis media team should consider ways to make lemonade out of lemons. Here’s a list of five things that Kim could do to turn the 20.5 carat diamond engagement ring, worth a reported $2 million, into something good:
1) Provide 985,222 meals for the homeless at Midnight Mission on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles. (Yes indeed. Her ring would pay for nearly one million meals.)
2) Hire back 40 – 50 teachers for a year to work at a struggling school district who were let go due to budget cuts.
3) Buy 133 economy cars for the working poor who cannot rely on public transportation to get to and from their places of employment, as featured in an Los Angeles Times article this week.
4) Show support for those who suffered traumatic injuries while serving our country by making a donation to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
5) Start a substantial scholarship fund for deserving students without the financial means to pay for college.
