Facebook Creator Mark Zuckerberg Weds With Ruby Ring

My dear friend Melanie is devastated over the biggest relationship status change she heard about this past weekend. Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg and long-time girlfriend Priscilla Chan married at their home in Palo Alto, CA with nearly 100 guests in attendance. (Yeah my friend has a huge crush on Mark…I know, I know…not sure what the fascination is but the man is a GENIUS. Gotta give him that.)

Interestingly, guests thought they were gathering for Chan’s recent medical school graduation but were surprised with a wedding ceremony. The couple met as undergrads at Harvard University in 2004. Zuckerberg who’s now 28 dropped out of college to work on Facebook, while Chan, a pediatrician stayed to earn her undergrad degree. Many didn’t even know the pair were engaged but we hear he proposed with a simple yet stunning ruby ring.

Other celebs who’ve opted for a ruby instead include Jessica Simpson.
