This past Christmas week ushered in two “bling bling” engagements in Tinsletown’s sports world! First…NBA champ of the Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade, popped the question to longtime girlfriend and fellow UCLA alum, actress Gabrielle Union (Being Mary Jane), with an 8.5 carat cushion-cut design. She shared the exciting news via Instagram with the ring caption, “Sooooo this happened…#Yessss.”
Days later, Dodgers’ outfielder Carl Crawford wowed his woman, reality star Evelyn Lozada (Basketball Wives) with an elegant 14.5 carat emerald-cut style. Lozada revealed to People magazine, “I’m overjoyed and in complete and utter shock. What a different year and a half it has been–I’m truly happy!” The lovely pair are expecting their first child together very soon.
