I love diamonds but I also like the colored gemstones. My engagement ring is small and petite like me, we call it my princess ring. It has an amethyst in the middle with two diamonds on each side and it’s beautiful. We picked the amethyst in the middle because it’s the month we got together as well as the month we’re going to be married!

My engagement ring has a diamond center accented with pink and white diamonds. I like the color and uniqueness that the pink diamonds add but I definitely think the center stone should be a diamond rather than a gemstone.

I think a regular old Diamond is the deffinition of a Wedding Band so Diamonds all they way around for me 🙂

Mine has always been colored, a blue sapphire, or a london blue topaz, absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! can hardly wait!!! <3

DIAMONDS!!! Colored gems would be a wonderful Birthday or Anniversary present but when it comes to engagement rings I absolutely LOVE diamonds!!! <3

I think diamonds are best. But I’ve seen pretty colored stones. If I had to go with another stone, I would do a pretty sapphire. I am a diamond kinda girl, though, and think they make the best engagement rings! 🙂

I think diamonds have such a classic look and are beautiful. However, colored gems make your ring pop out and are all the fab with cate Middleton lovers. I say as long as you have a diamond, colored or classic, then you are a lucky girl.

I love how unique color center stones are. It makes a statement, and if you’re a statement girl I think it’s the perfect fit.

I prefer to have the color. It anther way to express not only yourself but both of your styles. I personally am itching for citrine or yellow sapphires!

I like diamonds better than colored stones for engagement rings but since sapphire is my brimstone I think its pretty too but I defiantly want a diamond engagement ring 🙂

I say Diamonds!!!!! I think thank colored gemstones are more for like a gift or something I think Diamonds are like a tradition 🙂

I would prefer diamonds to be the center of my ring, but have a small gemstone on either side of the diamonds…

I know someone who has a ring with 2 sapphires and a diamond in the middle, and it’s very pretty. So maybe both. 🙂

Well I believe a Diamond would be more appropriate for an engagement ring since it’s more classy and it has elegance to it. Also it is more traditionally for a diamond to be an engagement ring since it’s what the bride expect to recieve.

Diamonds. Colored gemstones to diamonds are like carnations to roses. Nice and pretty, yes…but not at all romantic. Something he’d buy for his mom, not his future wife!

Diamonds!!! Colored gemstones are nice for a birthday or some other type of gift, but diamonds are forever. When it comes to my engagement ring I want the diamonds

I adore colored stones. It’s really modern I think. Personally I’d like mine to be a triangle cut black diamond. A little less traditional on cut and color. ;D A teacher of mine has jade in hers. She’s native american and it was really important to reflect the different colors of tge earth in her ring. A matter of personal taste as well as heritage right?

My ring from RB has diamonds only, which is what I wanted & I love it! Colored gemstones are really hot right now & I did consider adding some touches of peridot because it’s our baby girl’s birthstone.

I prefer diamonds in my engagement ring. Sapphires are nice but I would prefer sapphires as a gift, definitely not my engagement ring.
