Just when I think there’s a reality show for everything under the sun these production companies prove me wrong. This new show that just premiered on the Style Network last Sunday, Momster of the Bride, has an interesting spin. It showcases the dynamics between mother and daughter as both try to execute the wedding of their respective dreams. One of the couples, Ayana and Matt, recently visited our Woodland Hills store to shop for rings. Ayana had her heart set on a specific, gorgeous wedding band that Matt loved also, mainly because of its beauty AND affordable cost. Just as the couple is being filmed trying on rings with our lovely GM Susy Cabrera, guess who shows up and surprises us all(except the producers)–Ayana’s mom! Sweet lady but a little overbearing and picked out rings that she liked best for her daughter. It made more sense once I learned that mom has always dreamt of being a wedding planner. Aha!
