Luis from Grand Prairie, TX told Marlene, his girlfriend of three years, that he won a chance to watch the Texas Rangers batting practice before the team competed against the Oakland A’s. This was all a part of his plan to surprise her with a memorable marriage proposal at the very place they had their first date.
On game day at Globe Life Park the plan slightly changed. It was actually too hot for batting practice so the team didn’t have it, but that didn’t stop Luis from dropping to one knee to ask Marlene to spend forever with him. Stunned, teary-eyed and extremely happy, she said YES!
After Luis worked with Molly at the Robbins Brothers Arlington store to find the perfect Utwo diamond halo engagement ring for his future bride, the two brainstormed proposal ideas. Once Molly found out how devoted the couple were to the Rangers, the plan became very clear.
Luis shared:
To us the Texas Rangers is the best team in the league. Whenever they play at home we absolutely try and go see them. We know we are definitely guaranteed a great time when they’re in town. Because of her, is how I know about the Rangers. I had never watched a game before in my life, until she took me to one. Going to games is so much fun. It’s never over, there’s no clock and a team can come back from the biggest deficit no matter what time it is in the game. My love for them has grown along with my love for her.
