As editors of a destination wedding magazine, we’re used to dealing with the day-of emotions, beauty and details. So, when Robbins Brothers invited us to share fun proposal ideas perfect for Phoenix-dwellers, we jumped at the chance. Without further ado, please find some romantic and creative suggestions for asking the one you love for their hand-in-marriage in the Valley of the Sun!
Picnic Proposal: With over 300 days of sunshine, a picnic in Phoenix is almost always a possibility. Get a basket of her favorite foods and a nice bottle of champagne, the rest, you can figure out on your own.
Give Her Diamonds Under a Diamond Sky: Hike up any one of the beautiful mountain trails in or around the valley and propose under the desert night’s sky. Make sure to take proper flashlights, water or other items to ensure safety. An even better option: take a day drive up to Lowell Observatory for the big moment.
Pop It Shopping: Take her into Robbins Brothers’ Scottsdale retail location and ask her if she would like to pick something out. Lead her to a case where the sales associate has already placed cards inside spelling out, “Will You Marry Me?”
Equestrian Question: There are countless places to take guided horseback rides through the desert in Phoenix. While on your ride, take a break and bend the knee. Bonus points if you opt for a sunset jaunt.
Spring it on Her at the Spa: Check into one of the many fabulous spas in the valley that offer couple’s massage rooms. Act like she’s on her own for her treatment and arrange it with the spa director to take her to the couple’s massage room. When she enters, you can be standing there with “Will You Marry Me?” spelled out in rose petals and on your knee.
Love Sets Sail: Tempe Town Lake is one of the more picturesque places in the Valley and could make for a unique proposal setting. Rent a small boat and set sail for a proposal on the water.
A Blossoming Question: Any Arizona-native is bound to appreciate a trip to the Desert Botanical Garden, a haven for native-grown floral and fauna. Find a particularly beautiful spot to pop the question and then present your beloved with a bouquet of beautiful flowers to take home.
