Couple In Love Maps Their Romance and Wins Vacation Courtesy of Robbins Brothers

Robbins Brothers helps couple win romantic getaway for Wedding Anniversary

It all began when a thoughtful husband, Sem Avena of Moreno Valley, marked his territory on the Robbins Brothers Lovetopia map. This February promotion allowed website visitors to share their most romantic memories including the first date, first kiss, wedding location or the place where the couple became engaged. All entrants qualified to win a Simon G designer diamond pendant and a romantic getaway grand prize valued at $2,500. Sem mapped the Palm Desert Civic Park, the location where he and his wife Aileen shared their first high school date. To his surprise, Sem received a phone call from Robbins Brothers notifying him that in a random drawing he had been chosen as the grand prize winner.

Sem shared the good news with Aileen by emailing her the Lovetopia winner’s page. He told her that someone they knew had won the contest. As soon as she clicked on the link and realized it was their submission she was ecstatic.

Employees of the Robbins Brothers Riverside store wanted to present Sem’s prize to him in style so they selected a Hawaiian theme for the soiree. On Sunday, April 6, upon the couple’s store arrival they were shocked to see leis, balloons, and cider to celebrate the happy occasion. Store associates presented the gift certificate to Sem which comes just in time for the couple’s one-year anniversary celebration in June.

The Robbins Brothers Concierge Service will help plan all the details of the trip from airfare, hotel accommodations to other vacation-related activities. Once the Avenas determine the destination of choice the planning will begin.

“Wow, this is very exciting for us! We were not expecting this type of presentation at all, not on this level,” comments Sem. Heidi Hafker, customer service manager reveals, “It was so much fun planning this day. We really wanted to make it special for Sem and Eileen and the gratitude they expressed is priceless. What an awesome feeling to know that we helped create a special memory in the couple’s life.”
