Pear-Shaped Halo Diamond Engagement Ring for Nico

Love is in the air here at Robbins Brothers! Our very own Nico Rennells, Special Orders Coordinator, said “yes” to the love of her life, Ernie on February 23, 2013, but kept it a secret from all of us for a while. (We forgive you Nico.)

Nico met Ernie in a community choir in Glendale. She fell in love with him instantly, and says she had to work hard for him to notice her. (We doubt that! Nico is gorgeous and quite the head-turner.) As soon as Nico realized Ernie was clearly on the same page, the two were inseparable. Nico knew he was “the one” about a month into their relationship. Ain’t love grand?

Ernie got down on both knees in their apartment, and knowing that Nico would want to choose her ring style (she is responsible for special orders that come in from our stores, after all) he proposed with a twisty-tie. (She cherishes this symbol of their engagement, and in an office full of diamonds and rings, the simple twisty-tie made all of the ladies here sigh, ooh and ahh.)

Nico ordered a custom version of halo engagement ring style 0384680 with a pear-shaped center diamond. The diamond is S-T in color, which makes it close to a fancy yellow. It is stunning, as you’ll see in the pics.

They just celebrated two years together and are looking forward to their wedding in April  2014.
