Time to fess up, ladies. How many of you have more bras in your lingerie drawer than there are days in a week? I’m willing to bet that some of your sexy undergarments still have the tags on them, or were worn just a few times. Make today the day you finally put those sexy Victoria’s Secret bras to good use with one of these three alternate uses:
1) Create an eye-catching planter. Simply sew the front and back sections of the bra together, fill the “cups” with plastic lining, then add a little potting soil and pretty annual flowers you can pick up for a few bucks at Home Depot.
2) Ditch the traditional leash and give your Yorkshire Terrier or French Bulldog a fashionable accessory for strolls in the park. The lacier bra, the better. Just cut the straps to extend the length and tighten up the cups with some bright rubber bands. Ooo la la!
3) Donate your extra bras to “Bras Across Lake Washington” sponsored by STAR 101.5 in Seattle, Washington. Leonard from the radio station’s morning show will use all the collected bras to “take flight” over Lake Washington on September 30th to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. The world-class Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is presenting this worthy cause, and Robbins Brothers, The Engagement Ring Store in Bellevue is a designated drop-off site for new and gently-worn bras.
Drop off your Victoria’s Secret bras (actually any bra will do!) at Robbins Brothers, located at 10429 NE 2nd Street in Bellevue before September 25, 2013. All bras will be donated to the YWCA after the September 30th event.
