The Best Birthday Present by Moraima Alamillo, Customer Experience Manager – Woodland Hills, CA

I had the pleasure of assisting Anthony with his proposal to Liz. He had no idea what he was going to do, but he knew he wanted to propose during her birthday on a romantic getaway in Santa Barbara. I was able to arrange for them to speak with the General Manager at the Four Seasons. They graciously offered a cabana room for them, and even decorated it while Anthony & Liz enjoyed dinner! Throughout their 8 years of dating, they took many photos so Anthony took the most significant ones and framed them. In the back of the frame he wrote why the photo was so special to him and a reason why he loved her. These frames were placed around the cabana for her to read before he got down on one knee.

Just Visiting by Boun Kam, Office Coordinator – Seattle, WA

My General Manager, Raja and I assisted Ryan Merrifield with his perfect proposal. The couple was visiting Seattle and he wanted to propose next to a statue of a man holding a kid’s hand. We were to meet him at said statue once the ring was ready, with a bouquet of flowers. Raja and I misunderstood and ended up on the other side of town at a different statue! Since we had walked there, we had no time to get to the other statue and his girlfriend was starting to get suspicious! We had no choice but to hitchhike. A nice family offered to give us a ride after we explained the situation. Luckily, we made it to the correct destination before they left, and I was able to capture the entire proposal on my cell phone. See for yourself

Knight and Shining Armor by Alishia Sullins, Customer Experience Manager – Baybrook, TX

We helped a dashing young man rent a knight costume and a horse for the day!  Yup, you read right, a horse!  A few of us from the store met him at a nearby park where his girlfriend thought they were just going to let the kids play.  We helped him get suited up in the costume and on the horse.  Though he had never been on a horse before, he rode through the park to her. Once he reached his destination, he took off his mask and tears of joy were flowing.

Wish Upon a Star by Laura Johnson, Customer Experience Manager – Fullerton, CA

A sweet, widowed couple fell in love unexpectedly. The couple walked down the beach one evening during the end of sunset. The man pointed out to his lady the first star in the sky and asked her if she wanted him to catch it for her. Of course she knew he was joking, so she played along and told him to catch it. He then put his hands in the air attempting to “catch the star.” Once his hands were together he slowly dropped down to one knee and opened up his hands. Sitting there was a Robbins Brothers lighted box and an absolutely gorgeous engagement ring. The box lit up the diamond just like the star, so of course, she said yes!
