You accept the Promotion Rules by submitting any content or information (collectively “Materials”) to be considered for the Promotion. If you do not have legal authority or do not agree with the Promotion Rules, you may not participate in the Promotion and will not be eligible for any award or prize. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same social media account/address or email address. Use of any script, macro or automated system to participate or subvert the entry process is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all associated entries will be void. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, inaccurate, stolen, delayed or misdirected entries, all of which will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the social media account/address or email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with the Promotion Rules. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned a social media account/address or email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

4. Winner Selection / Notification
The Materials meeting all eligibility requirements and chosen at random shall constitute the winner of the Promotion (individually referred to as “Winner”). There will be a maximum of 1 prize and a maximum of one Winner per prize. One Winner will receive a $1000 gift certificate to Robbins Brothers. Gift certificate is only redeemable at Robbins Brothers stores in Seattle or Bellevue, in the state of Washington.

All federal, state, provincial, territorial and/or local income and other taxes, if any, are Winner’s sole responsibility. Robbins Brothers shall not have any obligation to pay any taxes related to awarding the prizes or notify any Winner of any tax obligation(s).

The winner will be chosen from all entries that are sweet, funny, crazy and/or cute. Winner will be notified shortly following the October 13, 2013 closing date of the sweepstakes (“Decision Date”). Robbins Brothers will make every reasonable effort to contact the winner via the social media account where the hashtag was submitted. The notified winner must respond within three days (72 Hours) from the Decision Date to be eligible for a prize. If any winner does not respond within that time, the winner forfeits all rights to the prize and an alternate winner may be selected. Winners must meet all eligibility requirements and comply with all the Promotion Rules as described herein. Robbins Brothers will determine whether each winner meets those requirements only for those winners who have responded within the time allotted after the Decision Date as specified above. Winners who do not meet all eligibility requirements and who do not comply with the Promotion Rules as described herein may be disqualified and alternate winners may be selected.

If, in Robbins Brothers’ opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of fraud, electronic or non-electronic tampering or unauthorized intervention with any portion of the Promotion, or if fraud or technical difficulties of any sort (e.g., computer viruses, bugs) compromise the integrity of the Promotion, Robbins Brothers reserves the right to void suspect entry and/or evaluations and/or terminate the Promotion and award the prize in its sole discretion. Oh Happy Day! We just finished going through ALL of the entries for our Share The Love proposal video contest and Summer of Love–The Jewel of Jamaica promotion. Whew…lots of marriage proposals and countless love stories! They were all so wonderful to watch & read. Well, most of them. 🙂 We’ll announce the winners early next week so stay tuned!

Speaking of great proposal stories, here’s a really fun one that was submitted in the contest! Congrats to the newly engaged couple Kristen & Jared! I’m so glad that first date wasn’t the end of your relationship.

It was obvious Jared was nervous on our first date when he drove the wrong way on a one-way street. I exclaimed, “You’re going the wrong way!” Seconds later, his car barreled over the median reaching the correct side. To make this experience further interesting, a police car turned on its lights and pulled us over. Once the officer realized this nice boy was extremely nervous with an attractive girl next to him, the cop relaxed and asked the forever-infamous question, “Is this your girlfriend?” Jared stammered, “Uh, um, not yet.” I grinned at the officer as he wrote a “warning ticket” and let us go to enjoy the best first date ever thanks to the wonderful “ice breaker.”

Fast-forward six years and Jared was extremely nervous driving past this spot again. I saw a police car and said, “What if we got pulled over like old times!” Little did I know that Jared had that officer waiting and he pulled us over. Extremely confused, I figured Jared was speeding. After the normal police spiel, the cop asked, “Sir, is this your wife?” Jared once again stuttered nervously, “Uh, not yet.” The officer asked us both to step out of the car, which is when I got nervous thinking we were getting arrested for some crime that you see people framed for on TV. Clueless with my heart pounding, I finally spun around to find Jared on one knee with a gorgeous ring! Completely shocked, he whispered he was more nervous this time than the first, and even saved the original warning citation. Needless to say, this was the only time I’ve ever been thrilled to be pulled over by the police! I hope we don’t get pulled over for eagerly speeding to a lovely honeymoon at Jewel Dunn Resort!

Fairytales do come true & Robbins Brothers’ engagement consultants have the pleasure of witnessing them on a daily basis!
