I know this sounds cheesy and not at all concrete, also kinda like something a person would lie about, but it’s sooooooo important! I suggest asking the question and then waiting a few months to let it percolate. That way you both have an opportunity to think about it and be certain.

I’ve been happily married for almost fourteen years to a man who is drastically different from me, but we have always loved each other for what we brought to the table in the beginning and so–though we have had to work at finding our footing sometimes– we’ve never wondered if it was a mistake. Well…. I know I’ve never wondered, and I choose to believe him when he claims he hasn’t either!!!
