Nailed it! I agree bridal magazines are fun for browsing, but they do make you feel like you have to subsist solely on iceberg lettuce and cardio until your wedding day. I didn't do anything extra to my body before my wedding day, and most brides lose weight naturally due to the stress/anticipation associated with their Big Day. I did programs but wish I hadn't, especially since it represents an opportunity to get something wrong -- I put the wrong month on the program and got teased by more than a few people over it. Buying gifts for each other is definitely reserved for the rich and famous; I remember watching my cousin greedily opening a Louis Vuitton box gifted to her moments before walking down the aisle and thinking "is this for real?"
